History: Hikari was born a daughter of Samurai who owned his own village. Given her nobility, she was somewhat spoiled as a child. She was trained from an early age to become a female Samurai, who were commonly used to defend the household in those days. Hikari took well to her training, and rather enjoyed wielding a blade. Her spirited fervor is what eventually cost the girl her life. When her father was called to aid in a conflict, she snuck into the armory and stole her mother's katana and a horse in order to ride off after her father at just the age of 13. The girl never stood a chance, and was killed by a stray arrow before she ever drew her blade.
She became saddened at the loss of her father, and ended up becoming a Hollow, and survived for thousands of years. In the present day, during a feeding patrol in Karakura Town, Hikari's Hollow form was purified by a Shinigami, and she was reborn in Soul Society. With no memory of her former self, Hikari was adopted into a family that treated her well, and spoiled her in ways not at all unlike the way her real parents did. She had good potential, and was sent to join the Gotei 13. While her memories were gone, her personality remained the same. She was still bubbly, overeager, and enthused to hold a sword. Obtaining her Zanpaktou was one of the greatest moments she had ever experienced. She then set her shenanigans loose in the Gotei 13.
After graduating from the Shino Academy and training personally under Captain Commander Yamamoto along with some of her closest friends, eventually joining the First Division. Hikari progressed through the ranks during the war with the Shurai siblings until she eventually became Third Seat. After being pushed to her limit, Hikari expanded her knowledge of fighting by joining the Kido Corps, and became its Vice Captain. After a battle that nearly claimed the life of her and her comrades, Hikari returned from Hueco Mundo and took Captaincy of the Fifth Division to replace Aizen Sosuke. She eventually began molding the Fifth Division by personally selecting Shinigami and training them specifically to counter the threat of Arrancar and other Shinigami. This time of fragile peace was ended when Hikari ventured back to Hueco Mundo in order to rescue her friend Yuri and the new Captain of the Ninth Division: Ronan Aeoniro. To avoid tripping Soul Society's surveillance systems, she decided to try to use Kido to create a Garganta in the only place where no one would be watching: the Dangai Precipice World.
Her mistake was in not taking the time flow into consideration, and ended up being thrown into Hueco Mundo two hundred years in the past, with no way out of the realm. Now she had been separated from the very friends she was trying to protect, and wandered Hueco Mundo as a nomad, fighting for survival and mastering her abilities as a Shinigami. When two hundred years finally passed, she sensed the reiatsu of Aza Monela, the original leader of her sworn enemies from the war of her childhood.

Physical Appearance: Having not been altered or artificially colored since she was younger, Hikari's dirty blonde hair has now darkened to a more brunette tinge. She now secures her hair in an elegant bun with a golden hair piece, interweaved with large braids.

Clothing/Armor: After being deprived of most colors for hundreds of years while trapped in Hueco Mundo, Hikari has adopted a more colorful variant of her original clothing. Instead of a pink hakama, she now wears a body conforming robe colored with fuschia, pink, and purple.
Hikari is a complete and utter goofball. She perceives everything around her, but doesn't take it seriously. She loves to fight, and loves to make people react badly to her jokes and pranks. How the job gets done doesn't matter as long as she has fun while doing it. She isn't mean and is actually very smart, but it stays hidden behind a fun-loving, immature exterior. She loves to pull pranks and be fun loving, in addition to fighting. She is very hyper and spastic and is prone to getting herself into whatever trouble she can find.
Since growing in Hueco Mundo, she still likes to live in the moment and participate in subversive antics, although now with a more subdued approach befitting her emotional changes.
She's a natural rebel, and likes to do things different just because she can.
Combat Skills: Hikari is a very aggressive and fierce warrior as a member of the First Division personally trained by the Captain Commander himself. As a natural mischief maker, Hikari likes to fight relying on her sharp wit, honed Zanjutsu and confusing the opponent by masking her movements with random attack styles, making her a difficult opponent to adjust to.
Her experience against many types of enemies makes her a foe not to be underestimated, having fought against powerful opponents including a former Vice Captain while being only a Third Seat herself at the time; later serving as Vice Kido Chief before assuming command of the Fifth Division.
When faced against powerful opponents, Hikari incorporates Kido into her fighting style.

Attitude: She is very unpredictable and is so hyper you would think she has ADHD the way she behaves. Hikari is a very black and white type of person. She likes what she likes, pursues what she wants, and doesn't care what anything thinks. There is a hidden seriousness in her that she keeps veiled with layers of comic mischief.
After surviving in Hueco Mundo, she has lost the high energy sillyness of her youth and prefers to be a little more relaxed until roused by a funny situation.
Dislikes: Jerks, Traitors, vegetables, pain, and Arrancar.
Miscellaneous: Hikari tends to keep her reiatsu levels at passive amounts. Her reiatsu thus feels strong and dense even when calm but only spikes when she attacks. When her reiatsu is being raised or emitted from her, it has a heavy feel to it.
Zanpakutou Name: Lux Tractus (Latin for Light Movement)
Lux Tractus is unique in that it is the only known Zanpaktou with Latin names and attacks.
Spirit Appearance: A little boy wearing an oversized white toga with red hair.
Inner World: A field of endless clouds and a bright sun illuminating the sky with a halo shaped rainbow surrounding it.
Sealed Form: A standard Zanpaktou katana with a golden triangle handguard.
Shikai Release Phrase: "Light them up!"
Shikai Appearance: It stays exactly the same as its sealed state.
Shikai Abilities: Lux Tractus has the ability to allow the blade to move undetected through light. She can attack with her sword and have a portion of her blade all the way down to the hilt appear elsewhere at any angle. She could stab the ground with the blade disappearing into the dirt without penetration, only to have the tip pop out behind the enemy. Or she could swing from a distance, and the blade appears elsewhere continuing the attack. This combined with her chaotic fighting style makes Hikari a formidable opponent.
The destructive potential of her Zanpaktou is directly tied to her Reiatsu.
Arcus: Hikari's Zanpaktou glows brightly with light. When she slashes or stabs, 8 blades of super-condensed light attack the foe from multiple directions. If she wants, she can keep the condensed light on the blade to increase her attack power. The passive form of this ability allows her to absorb the light from nearby sources to boost its next attack.
Ignis Orbis: Hikari draws a circle in the air in front of her with her sword, leaving a trail of light behind. When the circle is complete, she slashes outward, launching a ball of explosive light forward.

Hado 51: Atto Tenrai Sho (Overwhelming Thunder Clash): A Hado spell of Hikari's own devising, being an upgraded variant of Hado Number One. Creating a compressed ball of kinetic force. She can choose to direct this at a target or detonate it in a field around her. This spell is classified as a Level Fifty-One Hado.
Bakudo 77: Chu-Dan: Sakeru (Second Step: Burst): A defensive variant of Atto Tenrai Sho that is more difficult to perform. Instead of compressing the force into an orb, Hikari throws her arms out to release it in all directions at once in a controlled sonic burst, serving as a form of reactive armor to deflect enemy attacks back at them. Hikari can use this immediately after its offensive version with the short command. If she uses it independently then the spell is summoned with the command Atto Tenrai Sakeru (Overwhelming Thunder Burst). This spell is classified as a Level Seventy Seven Bakudo, and can defend against attacks of equivalent level.
Bakudo 99: Setsujo Mado Zaijo (Ablation Window Charges): Hikari creates four polygon shaped panels of Kido that refracts light around them, making them invisible. She places these at strategic points around her body or can control them in a spherical range around her and piece them together. These shields absorb all forms of energy that hits them and then transfers the energy to Hikari. This causes her eyes to glow with gold fire more and more each time. Once a shield is used it is destroyed unless another shield panel strengthens it. When all the shields are used, her eyes are filled with gold fire. With the captured energy, Hikari can combine it with her own reiatsu for different spells depending on the invocation used.
- Hado 99: Setsujo Mado Asshi (Ablation Window Death Crush): If all four charges are used, Hikari can use this spell. By matching the amount of energy absorbed with her own reiatsu, Hikari creates a golden pyramid that traps an enemy inside it and then bombards them with all that energy into to pulverize their soul and then shrinks into nothing.
- Hado 98: Setsujo Mado Keshigomu (Ablation Window Eraser): If three charges are used, Hikari can use this spell. All of the energy is transferred into the remaining shield and faced at the target. A gold beam of energy capable of destroying any lower level attack flashes out of it. If uses to pierce an opposing attack, the beam is spent. If it hits a person instead, then they get the full force of the beam.
- Hado 97: Setsujo Mado Sakeru (Ablation Window Burst): If only one or two of the charges are used, this spell can be cast. Hikari simply releases the energy stored in that shield as an attack, causing it to shatter into tons of cutting pieces. The power of the technique can be doubled with each additional panel sacrificed to use it.
When a shield charge is spent, it can't be remade until all of them are used.
Reiatsu- Legendary, Hikari's reiatsu is in a class of its own, she possesses TWICE the reiatsu of the average captain. When she releases bankai this reiatsu increases even further, threatening to deliver extensive damage to her surroundings simply by her standing still and subjecting them to her reiatsu.
Kido- Superior, Hikari is a true master of kido, having created many of her own spells, and is capable of casting spells of any rank with or without incantation.
Hoho- Superior, Hikari is highly skilled in the use of shunpo, and is capable of performing utsusemi.
Zanjitsu- Legendary, Hikari is known and feared for her prowess with a blade. She has slain many captain class enemies without ever releasing shikai. Her blade movements baffle and confound enemies with ease.
Intelligence - High, while Hikari is not a genius, she boasts impressive intelligence by any standards and effortlessly creates custom kido, breaks down enemy techniques, and strategizes like a master.
Hakuda- Below Average, Hikari's hakuda skills are underdeveloped for a captain, She rarely, if ever, uses hakuda, much prefering kido or zanjitsu. She never uses hakuda in a serious fight.
Strength- Superior, due to her reiatsu and unrivaled skill in controlling her reiatsu that she developed through kido, her physical might is overwhelming, even against captain class opponents. The only people who can match her in a contest of strength are Yammamoto, Kenpachi, and Torin.
